It’s not every year that the “Pineapple Express” comes through but when it does….ALL HANDS ON DECK! Last one was in 2005, rivers overflowed, levies broke but 1997 was the BIGGY. Non-stop sub tropical storms raining all the way at the summit of the Sierra. This one, thank somebody, wasn’t that bad and although we had a tremendous amount of rainfall with a lot of wind it was pretty much just another storm but we did have to endure a 25 hour power outage. We do not own a generator so we just go into camping mode. One thing we did get to do was to practice low light photography. The photos below are an ode to a 25 hour power outage, enjoy.
