Ode to a very wet Winter

I took a short drive into Colfax, Ca this afternoon, I must have seen at least 10 Cal-Trans trucks along State Highway 174. 2 Clogged culverts, 2 landslides and one place where the road was separating. The hills are absolute mush, I believe with this storm Grass Valley has hit it’s normal 53 inches of rain in only three Months with two good rain Months left but………I’ll take it.

I didn’t take my camera with me or I would have gotten some very muddy pictures but on my afternoon dog walk I took the camera on a tripod to try and captureย a very wet Winter ๐Ÿ˜‰

(moss is on almost everything)

(I don’t know what the heck this is but I think I heard it say, “take me to your leader”ย  ๐Ÿ˜‰

( Moss on the Rocks ๐Ÿ˜‰

( Mossy Oak, Mossy Pine, Mossy Everything ๐Ÿ˜‰

(this garbage can was completely dry and empty this last Friday, it is set under a shed roof)

    1. Thank you Libby but this whole area is ridge tops and ravines so unless you have a stream on your property all you have to worry about is landslides, sink holes and the roadways falling away ๐Ÿ˜‰ but Thanks!
