Urban Homestead – Urban Permaculture

I was going to post about living “off the grid” as we have some experience in it but when I went to Youtube I saw this in the suggestion videos. This kind of hits home with us as we are trying to get off of meat. We’re not going vegan, (at least not yet), but it has been brought to our attention that meat, (all meat even chicken and turkey) is hugely responsible for high blood pressure, high cholesterol and type 2 Diabetes. Anything “processed” they say is harmful, well anything processed is everything! If it’s in a store it has been processed. Ergo,…grow your own 😉

    I have gone vegan and it isn’t as hard as you might think. Make sure to fully investigate the nutritional aspect of things (as well as the ethics, etc.) so that you and Arlene stay healthy. It’s possible to end up an unhealthy vegan1

    1. Thank you Libby! We’re not going vegan, just less meat. I’m going to get away from processed lunch meat. It’s been a long time since I made myself a “triple-Decker” peanut butter and jelly sammich 😉
